Fri. May 4- First Friday! We will go meet at the church at6pm for Adoration, followed byMass. Then we will all head out to dinner!

Sat. May 5- Get ssl hours at ReStore. Only 4 spots available. First come first served.

Sun. May 6- Final Session of Spring Cleaning. This is a youth group you don’t’ want to miss! Meet from6-8pm inParishCenter.

Fri. May 11-Lock out at St. Francis! Cost is about $30 per person.

Sat. May 12- We will meet at Mother Seton at 9:45am to leave for the nursing home to play bingo and do some crafts! Let me know if you want to attend by May 9^th!!

Sun, April 29- 8TH Grade Night! ALL 8th graders welcome to see what TAG is all about! Join us to play capture the flag and eat some yummy pizza! Meet in the Parish Center from 6-8.

St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Art Competition Form

This retreat will be a time for teens to escape the pressures, worries and temptations of everyday life, to ponder the deep love God has for us and how to clear out our hearts of those things which are unnecessary and distracting and make room for the most important thing-Growing closer to God and experiencing the divine love he has for us.

The retreat will be a wonderful experience. It will involve prayer, small group sharing, Sacraments, laughter, tears, life-giving friendships, praising God and learning more about ourselves. I highly recommend coming to this retreat, even if you have already made plans. If you are anything like me, sometimes you need to, “just get away from it all,” to press the reset button on your spiritual life.

The retreat will take place from 9am on Saturday March 17th (St. Patricks Day) to 1pm on Sunday. We will meet at MSP at 9am to carpool to Our Lady of Mattapoini Retreat Center where we will stay overnight (in heated cabins with beds!). We will leave the retreat center around 11:30am and be back at MSP by 1pm on Sunday, March 18th. The cost will only be $15 each person because of all of the fundraising we have done!

We have reserved 30-35 spots this year and need at least 5 adults to chaperon. If you are interested in helping OR attending, PLEASE RESPOND TO ME ASAP! Sun, Feb 5- Due to typical low attendance on this night, we will NOT meet tonight because we are unable to get the TV station to watch the Super Bowl.

Wednesday, Feb 8^th-We will start a Theology of the Body course in theSt. Joseph’s Conference room from7-8:30pm. This is a 12 week course with a book fee of $10 per person (call if you need scholarship!)

Sat, Feb 11-We will meet in the MSP parking lot at9:45am to leave for the nursing home where we will paint nails, play bingo and make Valentines. We will be back by11:45am.

Sun, Feb 12- Chocolate Lover’s Festival!8am-2pm inParishCenter. Sign up to work at least 2 hours that day! Email me for sign ups. Later that evening we will talk about relationships, cliques, bullying and other attacks that get in the way of making Christ-like friendships.

Sat, Nov. 12-We will visit a local Senior Center (Sunrise in Montgomery Village) to paint the fingernails of the lady residents and/or do a craft. This opportunity will be offered every month from here on out. We will meet at MSP at 9:45am and be back by 11:45 pm. RSVP to me by Nov 11^th.

Sun, Nov. 13- DONUT SUNDAY! Help give away coffee
donuts and get the word out about youth group from 7:45am to 2pm in Parish Center. Come when you can! Later that evening, meet
in the Parish Center from 6-8pm. Get ready for a great talk and wonderful
discussion. We will start with a meal

It is that time again to register for Youth Group for this upcoming year, 2011-2012!  We are asking that families please fill out and turn in the student registration form with the registration fee each year. That way we always have current information and parental consent (ADW Policy).

1. Official signed chili cook-off registration forms must be received with a nonrefundable
$25.00 entry fee by Jan 26th 2011. On site registration will be
accepted with a non-refundable $10.00 late registration fee through 9:00am
Jan 30th 2011. Space is limited.
2. A chili entrant team will consist of at least 2 people: 1 person to dispense chili into
tasting cups and 1 person to serve the public.
3. Set up of your assigned area must be complete and chili ready to serve to
official judges(the priests) by 10:30 am. Mother Seton Youth Group will be on site at
7:30am. Entrants may begin setting up their booths at 7:30am.
4. Appropriate “themed” decoration of your area and related costuming is
encouraged.
5. Mother Seton will provide an assigned table, testing cups, spoons and
bowls for the public, tickets and a ballet box to contestants.
6. Chili must be cooked from scratch at home and brought on site the day of
the cook-off. Each cook must prepare 1 – 3 gallons of chili to be judged by
the public.
7. All meat and poultry must be obtained from USDA approved sources.
Please note: Home canned and home prepared foods are not allowed.
8. A listing of ingredients used to make the chili must be displayed.
Quantities do not need to be included.
9. The chili container must be a crock-pot or electric roaster to maintain the
chili at a temperature of 140 degrees or higher. Contestants may also
bring their own camp stove and pot if they prefer to use them, again
maintaining a temperature of 140 degrees or higher. It is recommended
that contestants also bring extension cords.
10. Contestants will provide a food thermometer to check internal
temperatures of chili to assure proper temperature for serving.
11. Contestants will provide multiple sets of utensils to be changed out in case
of contamination.
12. Mother Seton Parish will provide one power strip and a limited number of
extension cords, buckets containing sanitizing solution for cleaning work
surfaces and spills.
13. All food, equipment and utensils must be stored at least six inches off the
floor on pallets, tables or shelving protected from contamination.
14. No bare hand contact with food is allowed. Hand washing facilities are
available in the Parish Center.
REMINDER: Contestants must wash their hands after using toilet
facilities, coughing/sneezing and handling soiled equipment, etc.
15. All food-handling personnel shall maintain a high degree of personal
cleanliness by wearing clean outer garments and hair restraints (cap, hat
or hair net).
16. At the discretion of the representative from the MSP Staff, Chili Cook-off cooks may be required to taste their own chili prior to serving or at anytime so requested during the event.
17. All food must be covered when not in use to protect from customer
handling, coughing, sneezing or other contamination.
18. Contestants agree that all money(s) collected will be donated to TAG Mother Seton Youth Group for scholarships, retreats, etc.
19. All personal belongings must be stored in a designated area away from
food, equipment, utensils, etc.
20. No deliberate sabotage to another contestant or their entry will be
tolerated and such an act would lead to automatic disqualification.
